“The message of Jesus Christ is eternal, yet He continues to reveal Himself in new ways… giving us what we need to be followers and disciples of Christ for this time in history. Life with God is fun, its an adventure, it is grace, freedom, peace and everything in between. Whether you are listening to our newest album or our very first, our prayer and passion is that you are empowered to live life with God, encouraged to stay on the course and excited about all that He has for your future.”—Joel Houston; Hillsong United
“Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves.”—Mitch Albom (The Five People You Meet in Heaven)
finding a new church once i got to college was always a big concern for me so i just kept praying about it. i was scared and nervous because i never had to go searching for a church…God answers, God provides. this morning, i got a comment from pastor josh, who i met at the kayflower retreat back in 2007 and who lives in berkeley. he found out i was going to ucberkeley from jaewon and he invited me to go to his church and he told me he would introduce me to people! it was pretty awesome. :) i’m moving across the country to an unfamiliar place…it’s just nice to know that i kind of know at least one person there and that i’ll have a church to go to. thank you, Lord. :D
“You ever look a picture of yourself, and see a stranger in the background? It makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other peoples life have we been in. Were we a part of someone’s life when their dream came true or were we there when their dream died. Did we keep trying to get in? As if we were somehow destined to be there or did the shot take us by surprise. Just think, you could be a big part of someone elses life, and not even know it.”—Lucas Scott (One Tree Hill)
I don’t see why people bag on others for being in a distant relationship. So yeah the phone is basically on the norm, the closest the two get. Yeah, maybe they only see each less than they actually want to. Yeah, maybe they webcam to ‘spend quality time together.’ There’s nothing wrong with that. I mean, love is love. It doesn’t have to be right in front of you, nor does it have to be miles away. You basically… Have the choice of free will, and that includes whomever you decide to fall into love with. There is no right or wrong. There is no short or long. There is no fast or slow. There is no ‘not enough’ or ‘too much’. There is no specific measure on how your relationship is supposed to be. It just is as it is. No rules nothing, love is just natural. I mean, the person you plan to be with for the rest of your life, may be in Zimbabwe and you may be here in US, as we speak. And we just may not know it. But seriously, hands down, I have respect for distance, cause it’s twice the difficulty as an average daily basis relationship. And the one thing distance does for people is tie them together with a stronger bond than they ‘thought’ they would have. Don’t let a number of miles prevent you with making your choice for your happiness. Remember, love has no limits. That includes distance. Do what you have to do, to be happy. That’s all that counts.
“Faith is a big time part of my life. I love Jesus Christ with all my heart, he’s got me through this for sure. I need to stay by him for this competition, he’s the only way I’m getting through it.”—Scotty McCreery (via countryroots)
